This weekend was great. Saturday was the hooding ceremony and Sunday was graduation. Graduation was really nice, it was cool and cloudy. There was a 50% chance of rain, but no sprinkles until the end. The Williams ceremony is very efficient, 2.5 hours, and they called everyone's names. We got to sit in the front row and I was the first to get my diploma. All of the speeches were great, the valevictorian's made my mom cry (it was about his grandfather who passed away at home in China while he was studying at Williams.) Afterwards there was an all-campus reception with really yummy sandwiches, cookies etc. My parents left soon afterwards so we hung out at home and then went to see Harry Potter. I really enjoyed it! There was only one plot hole that bothered me (not explaining the mauraders' identity and that the stag was James's animagus (sp?).) Everyone is still exhausted from Friday, so I'm glad we have a couple days before heading out to Croatia.

As far as the Harry Potter movie goes, we saw it over the weekend too! Yeah, we were both kind of bummed that they didn't explain the authors of the map or the stag part. I mean, sure it's a little complicated, but it would have taken maybe 3 extra minutes of conversation between Lupin and Harry at the end and things would have been fleshed out so much better. The way they left it, people who haven't read the books probably just wondered how Lupin knew immediately what the map was, what it was for, and how to use it.

I usually find it amazing that people can actually like the movies by themselves. I always feel a little gypped by the movies because they leave so much good stuff out!

Also, I totally agree with your assessment of the Harry Potter movie.
And have a fantastic time in Croatia!
