It's snowing. IDEK.

(I know it snows in April, but 6 years in the DC/MD area had distanced me from the reality. Oh New Hampshire.)

MJ was awesome this weekend!!! I'm not going to do a detailed con report, but here are some notes. It was tremendous to see so many cool people!!! Wonderful to see old friends, many of whom I did not get near enough time with (and aerye I never got to your room to see Sherlock :( if you have another source let me know?). I also met some very cool new people; one of the great pleasures of cons :) (FYI my journal is not particularly fannish, feel free to friend/defriend at will). I went to some good panels! The vid show was great! The dance party was awesome!!! Jacque's was sparkly and festive!

It was so lovely to be surrounded by my people again. It was a familiarity I haven't had quite enough of since I moved. (Although there were a few people I had hoped to see who didn't attend for a variety of reasons. *hugs* to you.) Yay for brilliant, sparkly, giggly, perceptive, sexy, fannish women! (And B., who is all of the above adjectives, although only sparkly on occasion. I had some reservations about sharing my con-going experience with a partner, but it turned out great. I feel really lucky to be with someone who not only understands, but also enjoys fandom.)

My weekend was restorative, my soul is happy, and I got home in time to do all the laundry for Monday morning :)

I had a fantastic time at MJ this weekend. Drove up Thursday night with road-trippers and roommates extraordinaire wordplay, sanj, and ellen_fremedon. We had excellent luck with traffic both ways and there was music-pimpage and good conversation and chocolate.

In short I had a great time at my 2nd con ever. It was well run, I really enjoyed the squee-filled atmosphere, and definitely felt the love. Can't wait until 2011!
