skipping!

I skipped my first full game tonight! It was a little nerve-wracking but a neat new perspective on the game. It is cool to know that I enjoy playing all four positions. insptr_penguin viced and was a huge help! ellen_fremedon and afrikate were an awesome front end!

We lost 6-10 which was not embarassing pretty good since the other team was better (and had things like draw weight). I made a few weird calls but over all our coach S. said I played a decent game. I had one awesome takeout in the 6th and good hit and roll in the 8th, but for the most part my draws sucked.

We scored two points each in the 1st, 6th, and 8th ends. They scored 3 in the 2nd, then two in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and one in the 7th (and only because I made a stupid call in the 7th).

Yay curling!

Skipping is fun, isn't it? Go you! Vicing is my favorite position overall, since my draw weight sucked and sucks even more now, I'm sure, since I haven't curled in forever, but I still got to call line. Telling the front end when to sweep when they respond immediately? Amazing experience.

It took me a moment to parse that as something other than "did not attend the game," so I was really confused! Clearly, my knowledge of curling is lacking.
