I fell in love with this movie in highschool, but everyone I showed it too was less than excited about it. (Have any of you seen it?). Then I check kassrachel's livejournal for the first time ever there's her post about the extended version that's only been released in Germany.

Okay, so local people I would love to introduce you to this movie. It will play on my computer, but does anyone have 1. the magical cable or combination of cables (or knowledge of which cables we should buy) to connect my ibook to my tv or your tv or 2. a region-free or region 2 dvd player?

yeah i have seen it. It is the movie with Sam Neil and some post apocalypse dream reading craziness right?

I also have both a region free dvd player AND a cable for connecting my computer to the tv. I am not however anywhere near you.

My understanding is that unless you have hacked your iBook, you can only change the dvd region a limited number of times (I was looking into all this when I first bought the Doctor Who DVDs). Be careful you don't get your computer stuck ONLY playing Region 2 DVDs.
