Tomorrow is my last day in Pittsburgh. It's been horridly hot and humid the last few days. Today was nice (after the final test which didn't go so well, we're all a little burnt out). We went out for drinks after class and then Lauren and I hung out and watched Oceans 12 and the 3rd Harry Potter movie. Tomorrow is my final oral exam (or FOE) which doesn't count towards my grade, but is so the institute can show off, and all the class presentations. We're doing a faux news program a la Daily Show about our time at the instutite. It should be low stress.
Denis is coming to get me Friday night, then we're driving home for one night in our own bed before flying to London Saturday night. We'll get to spend a couple days with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
coffman and jade_phoenix (!!!) before flying to Dubrovnik, then a few hours later to Zagreb. Then next weekend we're driving to Bosnia. We're going to stop at the village Denis's mother grew up in to see his grandmother's grave, then it's on to Sarajevo for a family wedding (I'm not sure exactly who, someone's cousin's son or something.) We'll get to meet a lot of family that hasn't seen each other in a while including Denis's aunt who lives in Austria. I'm looking forward to it although I don't know how much I'll be able to understand. Then it's back to Zagreb, I don't know if we'll have time to make it to the coast to see the kids or not. (Denis's mom, brother, and sister-in-law will be in Zagreb.) Then back to Dubrovnik to meet Chris and Erin for a long weekend before retracing our steps back to DC via London and Baltimore. I'm excited, but it's also a lot of traveling and I'm pretty exhausted from the institute. At this point I'm happy just to spend more than 2 consecutive days with Denis.
