I'm on spring break for the next two weeks. Since Denis doesn't have any time off we're not really planning on doing anything, basically it means more uninterrupted library time, so if I'm good I can get a jump on the second half of the term.

This weekend was pretty quiet. Friday was nice, I turned in my rewrite of my qualifying paper, then went home and did 80 minutes of cardio (for some reason my exercise plan decided to double my usual time for Friday, not sure what was up, but I was very proud that I did it instead of napping on the couch which is what I really wanted to do.) Then Friday night we got together with some other grad. students for wine, cheese, and games. We played two rounds of celebrity, (very fun and funny, especially with the wine), and one round of cranium, less fun (we're too much on the same page for that game.) I had too much red wine, but it was really good (and didn't give me heartburn which makes me think that I've been drinking the wrong kind/too cheap red wine.) Saturday spent some time in the library, Sunday didn't do too much mostly hung around the apartment. Denis talked to his mother and I talked to my parents about our upcoming trip to Croatia, so plans are coming together for that. I'm so excited for June!

We had to cancel some lessons last week and my Croatian tutor has not returned my emails, so I'm wondering if she'll show up today. It's spring break so she doesn't have German, so I'm not sure. Maybe she's getting bored, but I'd think she'd email if she was going to cancel, we'll see. If she's not there I can certainly study independently, soooo many vocab words. I was excited that I could understand some of what Denis was saying to his mom on the phone yesterday, even though he talks fast (normal speed, but fast for me.) Any progress is good.
