We had a really great weekend, one of the best I've had in a while. I finished up at WCMA Friday morning (which was a little sad, I've worked there for a year now), then went to Agora early because the new customer-service boss was coming over. We had pizza and diff. meetings all afternoon, it was nice because I usually am never around for meetings and get all the information second-hand. Then I had 3 hours alone at home to just hang out by myself before Denis got off work (I really like some alone time). Sat. we worked most of the day at Agora, but it wasn't too bad.

Sat. night we got dressed up and went out to the nicest restaurant in town (we were a little overdressed, but that's okay, we dressed up for each other rather than the restaurant) and had a very yummy dinner and dessert. I was a little disappointed I couldn't have any wine (I'm on antibiotics that don't allow my body to process alcohol, the pharmacist told me if I had anything to drink I'd immediately have the worst hangover of my life,) but the dinner was still delicious. Then we went out to the Williamstown Theather festival's performance of Ibsen's "Enemy of the People". It was a great performance, very powerful. It starred Mandy Patinkin (whose name I'm probably misspelling) whose long acting career includes the Princess Bride. He was amazing, as was the rest of the cast, and it's ironic how much the play's issues resonate today.

It was great to go out on a proper date with Denis. Sunday we had a lazy day, not a I-did-nothing-but-watch-VH1-and-now-feel-guilty-day, but a lazy romantic day like we haven't had in a long while. For example, we chose to stay in and order chinese food rather than do the laundry. It was so nice to take the weekend off from our normal dietary, financial, and household-chore responsibilities.

Today begins my week-and-a-half "vacation" before school starts during which I'm supposed to start (and finish) all those applications, rest and relax, catch up on all those household chores, and start a school-year-friendly exercise routine. Because that didn't sound like enough (plus working Agora in the evenings) I took a job photocopying for a professor (the husband of my method's professor.) It's good money (better than at WCMA) plus he teaches at Columbia, so doing nice things for him is sort of like working on grad. school contacts? At least that's my rationalization.

Speaking of, I should head to work.

I had a whole week of those days last week. Curse you I Love the 70's! I was only alive for two months of that decade, what am I doing watching old television clips from it?
