Me too! I mean, I know that I liked the first ep a lot more than you did, but I totally agree on it getting better as it diverges. What I'm really loving is how well they are making this show distinctly American. Taking an episode that had been about football hooligans and making it about gay bashing was bizarrely brilliant. And seeing Sam spout very 2008 views on Vietnam made me uncomfortable for him, but in a good way.
Also, the prospect of Dean Winters as Papa Tyler has me excited.
