Yay curling!

On the advice and enthusiasm of ellen_fremedon and bayleaf, denis77 and I spent the weekend at the Potomac Curling club open house. Saturday we curled for the first time, then Sunday we had more instruction from cmshaw and gblvr, and yummy chili dinner, and played in our first game. We had so much fun we joined! We're both doing TGIF league, Denis is doing men's league Mondays and I'm going to try to make Saturday breakfast league.

Curling is so much fun!!! It's also a really comfortable atmosphere, lots of nice, regular folks hanging out, wearing jeans, sweaters, fleece, and sneakers, in the cold, with beer, and a little construction (they are building a bar for their "drinking teams with a curling problem"), ooh and cheesy senses of humor, it's just like being home in New England.

Despite some leg and back pain last night (darn broom), I'm doing okay today. I streched in the shower this morning and I'm only really sore in my inner thighs.
