The UNICEF smurf commercial was on the news, but this might be pushing it a little far.

This conference aims to raise important questions re:
the (moralistic yet hypocritical) Thundercats'
Imperialist role in attacking the Smurfs for being
peace-friendly, mushroom-eating, predominately
homosexual, and non-Western. But more than this, The
war and the atrocities on the Smurfs and their once calm
and peaceful village is more about their large
quantities of Blue #5--a rare material that the
Thundercats need to keep its large volume of Atomic
warheads (*Peace Missiles*) operating, which the
Thun! dercats claim the Smurfs have--WMD, but many
reports show they only have large vats and storage
buildings of old General Foods cereal with
marshmallows replicas of various Smurfs (Papa Smurf,
Grumpy Smurf, Baby Smurf, etc.)
In this error of misinformation, the PUN (*the
Thundercats' bitch*--as an undisclosed source called
them) has made up a clever cover-up story:

Images released my the Departments of Information
(DOI) show the Smurfs being bombed and killed,
having their houses burned to the ground, and their
National History Museum looted, but the DOI states that it
is ONLY A DRAWING to let people know of the horrors of
war--indeed, a insidious and evil twist of what we see
in photos and what actually takes place! This is an
outrage! Such cover-ups are part and parcel to
today's imperialistic governments.
We are looking for papers that take the aforementioned
situation and issues seriously and philosophically.
Papers may be general in focus or specific to the
atrocities that have taken place.

Papers should not exceed 10 pages (for a 20 minute
presentation). Please include any A/V! that you will
need. Presenters will be notified by January 4, 2006.
Finally, at this point there is no funding for
travel, so we suggest you request your department to
