Why would you need fences? That would be like wearing a helmet when you're on a motorcycle. Actually for the big ditches they can't fence them off because they would block access to people's homes. On one trip to the grocery store Jill and I returned to find a narrow ditch transformed into a gaping hole. An old woman helped us with our bags as we picked our way across.
When your a little drunk and not expecting it the toilet seat is a trip.
