I never know what's going on when my extended family gets together because they always revert to Cantonese, but from what I hear from my mom it's quite interesting how many of the old sibling rivalries are still there, and how new ones have developed over the years. Some of the brothers and sisters (there are 8 total) really know how to push each other's buttons. It's quite bizarre to me. I guess I'll never have that kind of experience because I only have one brother and he's autistic so he'll never really compete with me in any sense.
