Aw, even though my dad sometimes acts like a jerk in conversation, he makes up for it by sometimes writing the sweetest emails. (I love that he felt the need to include Melissa, just in case I thought he was just talking about me.)

Excerpt from Dad-Email:

"Good luck when you classes start this Thursday. Just want you to know that even though I might forget to say it, I am proud of you (and Melissa). You are independently following your interests and ambitions with integrity, and not just taking the easy way through your early adulthood. You might not have as much money now as you would like, but eventually you will probably have more, and money is always something that you and Denis can accumulate. But integrity isn't accumulated, and is only gained through honest experience.

love,

dad"

Could your dad go into more detail on the "easy way through early adulthood?" Preferably in print or in a manner where I can take notes.

I was also wondering about what this corrupt/easy way was as well. I think he means living off your parents (i.e. continuing to spend his money).

Oh. If it would make him feel better, I'll live off of your dad's money.
