Feeling hyper the last couple days although I haven't been near as productive as I need to me. I'm starting to wonder if perhaps I am not motivated enough to be in grad. school (although I can't imagine what else I would do that would be better right now. Any art history related job would put me in the position I was at the Hood. "This is cool, but what my boss with the PhD does is much better." I'm also enjoying teaching more than I thought I would.)
In family news my grandpa is out of the hospital and back in the assisted living place. Yay! Winters are always hard on his breathing (he had lung cancer which resulted in surgury over a decade ago that severely reduced his airway capacity). I decided to go with my parents to New Mexico in January even though I'll need to do comps reading (mom asked if I have to bring heavy books, I said I'd try to save the light ones for the trip :p) and D. can't come because of lack of vacation time. Vacationing alone with my parents as an adult (not sure if Melissa's coming, we might spend some time with my cousins who are doing another US road trip). Sort-of-yay.
