Erin and I tend to do this to each other, so it balances out a little bit. I probably get more distracted by the net than she does, so I'm more prone to the type of behavior shown in the comic, but I think that's mainly because I'm not as good at multitasking as she is - she can pay better attention to the outside world while still doing more web surfing and video game playing than I do. Also, it used to be that she played different types of games than I did - she played only RPGs on our PS2 and I played snowboarding and skateboarding games, and platformers, and Grand Theft Auto and things. But a couple years ago she started playing SSX Tricky after I had pretty much mastered it, and quickly got as good as I was. When we got SSX 3 she was much better than I was. Same with Sly Cooper - the first one I played first, and she picked up later, but on the sequel she's beaten it and I'm still puttering around the 1/3rd done mark. ;-)

I sympathize for you, but can empathize with him - I do get totally entranced by new video games when I get them.
