Denis and I were talking about cartoon shows we watched as kids (Smurfs, Gummi Bears, Voltron, He-Man, She-Ra, Muppet Babies, GI Joe, Jem, etc) and I was thinking about the afternoon lineup that used to be on when I was like in fifth or six grade. It was Ducktails, Rescue Rangers, and then a third one I can't remember the name of. It was bears on an island who would fly around in planes, there was the big bear that reminded me of the bear from Jungle Book (who I remember as the slightly irresponsible, sort of drunk single dad type of character), the kid bear named Chip/Kip?, the anal female boss bear, and I think they had a friend that was a slightly Rastafarian orangutan (sp?). The theme music had some sort of carribean beat to it. It's starting to really irritate me that I can't remember the name. Please help. (Obviously it's past my bedtime.)

Baloo (the dad bear) & Louie (The orangutan) were right out of Jungle Book! (Except dropped into a world where animals wear clothes & fly planes) and the big corporate guy who may or may not have been evil was Sher Kahn (sp.. buh?) the tiger! and Kit the little kid bear was ever so cool.
OMG, I totally loved Tail Spin.
