Oooh, Waltham MA is having a Steampunk City Festival this weekend. Looks nifty.
Presented by and benefiting the non-profit Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, the festival will feature over 1500 hours of compelling Steampunk entertainment. Some of the scheduled events include an author signing, bands, hot air balloon rides, a New Orleans style parade, a Civil War reenactment, Monster Defense 101, puppet shows, lectures, and bicycle rides. When an entire historic New England town goes Steampunk for one weekend, all we can do is look forward to a few days of promising weather and enlightening experiences.
