I'm watching the art version of bravo's reality show formula (produced by Sarah Jessica Parker, which seems odd). It's not as train-wrecky as I feared, certainly not as good as Project Runway or Top Chef, but not as bad as the hair dressing one either.
Anyway. They're doing shocking pieces this week, which. just. no. I girded myself for the embarrassment squick.
One guy is doing a piece based on getting his first erection from a Disney movie (Little Mermaid, when Ursula turns into the hot chick if you want to know). And he's chatting with the Tim Gunn figure, Simon de Pury, who must be in his 60s? and he says
"I had my first one because of Renoir but I'm much older than you."
This cracked me up. IDK. I should be grading papers or something.
Oh wow. I really liked the two people they got rid of and hate the people they kept :(
4th of July weekend was great. B. from college came to visit! BBQ Sat. was lovely and lots of fun, but totally used up all my socializing energy for the weekend. Sunday we went to brunch, then the zoo (fun!), took a nap, and then headed to Rockville's community celebration. Concert band playing Sousa, fried dough, and fireworks. A picture perfect 4th.
