While I was at a lovely holiday party Saturday D. had some difficulties with the woodstove and our basement got filled with smoke. Any suggestions on how to remove the smokey smell? (It smells like Christmas, my sister said, trying to see the bright side. To me it smells like camping.)

fox sing. The christmas program was wonderful, a nice variety, including carols that the audience joined in for. It felt very nice and seasonally appropriate :) Then we went out to dinner in the old neighborhood (courtesy of a gift certificate from my parents we discovered while moving, yay).
eta: Two new awesome things about the house:
-I finally used the bathtub jets and they are awesome!!! (it was a pain to get stuff to clean them, but now I know where and how)
-D. just figured out how to play things from his computer on the big tv. (you just drop a file in a folder, no cords, it's stupid easy). We live in the future.
