You know how in the late 90s there was a whole thing about who would be the next Madonna, Britney or Christina (ditto with Justin as the next Michael Jackson)? Well neither seemed to fit really, too shiny, Disney pre-packaged. It seems like the answer is Lady Gaga. Career born in New York clubs, propensity to shock just to shock, love of spectacle and imagery. Or not, I don't know.

Okay, wow, that trailer is amazing. I adore this film, and this is nothing if not a sample showing how trailers are totally cut together to sell you the product they want to sell you, which is why we get happy-laughy trailers for things that turn out to be about someone's mother having a stroke over Thanksgiving, or whatever. Well done trailer-fakers, but I will have to watch the real movie when I get home tonight I think. Eep.

I've never seen a Lady Gaga video, and it's insane and kind of fun! It's not the kind of music I choose to listen to, but it's pretty good, too. Very catchy. I see what you mean about her being Madonna-esque.

Yeah, I had never seen a Lady Gaga video either, but I saw a link and just couldn't look away (in batshit crazy good way). The song is very danceable!.
