We had a lovely weekend. Friday night we celebrated bayleaf's end of work and beginning of school (much luck to her!). Saturday was the curling club's annual meeting (insptr_penguin we missed you!). Sunday we had brunch with durdge and Jem and then made a muddy attempt at disc golf. I also went to the Phillips Collection.

Today is the beginning of my 6-week summer class. I have 80 min. lectures 5 days a week (except I've deemed Fridays museum days to make it more interesting so we will not be having official class except when we have a test).

It feels like the beginning of crazy summer schedule as class is immediately followed by:
1. my trip to England to present a paper (that I have yet to write)
2. my week in Croatia hanging with my MIL while Denis presents at his work's annual meeting
3. a few days in Croatia with Denis
4. a "fun" 48 hours of traveling back to DC and then to the Upper Valley for a Dartmouth wedding
5. a week in NH/VT with my family while Denis is still spending time in Croatia
6. and then it's mid-August

Anyone want to come hangout in Croatia? (Seriously, it's a gorgeous place to visit.) One or both of us will be there for 3 weeks, and I have a whole week alone with my MIL (what are we going to do?).

This weekend we are driving to Ohio to celebrate two cousins' graduations (one high school, one college) and see another cousin's new baby Joslin. My sister is bringing Jacob (who was born just a week or two ahead of Joslin) so it will be babypalooza. We are very excited to see Patrick (Joslin's 3-year-old brother) with Jacob (along with the new little sister he has two slightly older girl cousins so he's very excited about seeing a boy baby). Should be awesome except for the driving.

This morning we moved more of the furniture (sadly my awesome black new shirt dress got a little dusty). We are crossing our fingers that when we get home today all the plastic will be gone and the walls will be freshly painted. That means we should get air conditioning tomorrow or Tuesday. please please please
