I take it back.
There is a "crew" of tap dancers from Alabama dressed in some matching plaid tops (with peplums I think). Dynamic Edition.
Scary.
eta not tap, cloggers. I'm not sure if that's better or worse.
eta 2 I'm in love with the hip hop girls from LA. The Miami basketball dance girls not so much. The double-jointed Circus guys were crazy but hard to watch. I also loved the guys in the purple, Quest something.
OMG they're hip hop cloggers. I'm not kidding. I just don't know. The dancing is better than expected (but kind of bizzare). Maybe if they work on the outfits?
I just saw the bows tied in the back over the peplums. no.

I remember going to the New England convention when I was like seven and watching these girls dance to Pump up the Jam and it blew my mind because it was the first time I'd seen clogging to something other than bluegrass/country. After that we went home and my friend choreographed Ice, Ice Baby and we danced that for a couple of years. I choreographed Cantaloop when I was in sixth grade. We also danced to Rhythm is a Dancer, Istanbul was Constantinople, Rhythm is Gonna Get You, Space Jam, some cheerleader remix song... wow. Good times.

Ah yes, google reveals all:

The photos section might show you the plaid outfits.
I have never seen non-country-music clogging. They are extremely talented and also unexpected.

The guys in purple (Quest Crew) are my favorites, but partly because three of them have been contestants on So You Think You Can Dance, and I became mildly obsessed with that show. Shane Sparks is a coreographer for that show, so he knows those three, at least. Which is a little weird, but I can't complain, since I thought they were great.
I feel the same way you do about the two girl groups, and about the brooklyn guys. I recognize the skill it takes to do that flexing stuff, but that doesn't mean I want to watch it, you know?
