Last Friday was trapeze class #7. It was cold, but they had a "warm tent" set up. I became a big fan.After struggling with the whip I did it once, they said "that looks great want to try something new?". I learned straddle whip, which is like the whip except your hands are in the middle and your legs make a v shape. Except I can't do a proper one with my legs parallel to the ground, so I'm doing a version where my legs are up braced against the bar and ropes. I think of it as wimpy straddle whip, but whatever. I tried to catch my it, but the first time I was just a couple inches too low and the second I grabbed at the catcher which is a big no no (bad Amelia!).

Tonight was our lesson that was rescheduled due to rain yesterday. The weather was much nicer.
I worked on the wimpy straddle whip and that seemed good so I learned the split. The first time I got my hips up (1st position) but couldn't finish. The second time I found 2nd position but it is very far from cute. I caught both of my wimpy straddle whips though!!! There is video, I will post once I get it from durdge and Jem.
Jem, durdge, and A. all did awesome! It was so much fun to go with friends. Everyone jumped off the platform and did a somersault dismount. Jem and durdge both made a knee hang catch!!!!!
