End of week/weekend was filled with lots of fun socializing. I went out drinking four days in a row, for the perhaps the first time ever?! Wed. with grad. students, Thurs. at SPN party, Friday bookgroup, and Saturday to celebrate
lightgetsin finishing the big test. I had enough energy Saturday to get up and buy the car, go to bellydancing, then shopping at the mall before my body said NO. So I abandoned plans for the curling banquet, listening to Denis sing on Sunday, and the Ren. fair. (I did do the laundry on Sunday so at least that was productive--oh and prepared for class v. important.)
FYI Denis auditioned for the National Cathedral's volunteer choir and is now singing at services Sunday mornings. I'm planning to go next week when my parents are in town.
Shopping was very good. I got the brown heels I need to wear some brown skirts I bought in August as well as new jeans and super-cute pjs.
bayleaf convinced me to buy the best shoes. Peep-toe, patent leather slingbacks with a four inch heel. They look great with the knee-length black pencil skirt that
bayleaf also recommended. With a white blouse I look work appropriate in an only slightly hot-for-teacher kind of way. If instead I wear the purple leather corset with the buckles that
bayleaf got me I look like bayleaf dressed me really hot. Not that I spent my afternoon trying on different outfits rather than doing my art history reading :)
