One of the CNBC commentators for the US v. Canada men's curling semifinals is named Elfi Schlegel. I have never heard of her before, but she is aparantly a famous canadian gymnast. Her name is *awesome*.

My cousin and her husband were supposed to arrive in Washington DC this afternoon. They're on their way back from a cross-country roadtrip and were excited to visit, especially since Lee has never seen DC. They spent last night in VA and we were going to meet up today and go curling tomorrow. They called at noon and Lee's mother had called and said that part of their roof in Maine is missing! There were some high winds and they lost some shingles. Needless to say they headed straight home. They were bummed because they were sooo close, but they'll have to come visit another time. I guess it's good because I can go to R.'s birthday dinner tomorrow night and have more time for stuff like work...
