I had a great weekend! Thursday afternoon I gave my final presentation then met with my prof. who had some helpful advice about the paper and chosing a dissertation topic. (She also moved the due date from Tues. or Wed. to Monday night--she's going out of town, but also realized I would be out of town for most of the weekend so we ended up on the same page.)

I arrived in Albany around 11pm. Sucessfully rented an automatic and only hit the break (my foot thought it was the clutch) once on the drive to Williamstown. I stayed with 3 grad. students who I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked. Friday I visited the Clark, WCMA, and the all campus picnic. Friday evening we went to the opening of the senior art show and then went out to dinner with some of the grad. students.

Friday night midnight to 8am was Williams Trivia. Guess which bonus I worked on. (If you don't know what trivia is there is a "rules" link at the bottom of the page.) It was lots of fun! I did phones until 4am and then graded boni until my brain shut off around 7ish. [livejournal.com profile] denis77 helped on AIM from DC. I slept from 9:30-4ish then hung out with [livejournal.com profile] osirusbrisbane. He made me yummy burritos, we went contradancing (which I hadn't done since freshman trips, it was lots of fun), then hung out at [livejournal.com profile] kassrachel and [livejournal.com profile] yaoobruni's. It was really nice. The hot tub was particularly nice after the dancing--Amarna should have one, maybe during the new renovations : )

It was such a nice evening I didn't even mind getting up at 7am to drive to Albany and catch my plane home. Sunday and Monday I finished up my final paper. Only one more seminar left (in the fall)! Friday was grad. review and they assigned TA assignments. In the fall I will be TAing introduction to African art. I don't know anything about African art, but it will be fun to learn. Now I need to refresh my Croatian knowledge before Pittsburgh. We're also doing some spring cleaning.

I don't really understand, and don't believe I have a use for "a number of richly detailed Barbarian tribes" but [livejournal.com profile] toran wrote this. Yay! Go buy it.
