Primer

Denis rented a couple of movies this weekend. We saw Spanglish which was better than I expected although Denis went on and on about "that stupid woman". Last night we watched Primer which I highly highly recommend. The plot was a little confusing, but that didn't detract from all the interesting issues the movie brought up. It's about two guys who accidently invent a time machine in their garage and a plausible look at how they might deal with it. It was so good we watched the director's commentary immediately afterwards (it's a short movie only 78 minutes) which cleared up a lot of plot confusion. Actually just talking about it helped that issue, but there are reasons you're confused at points because you're going through the experience with the characters. Even more impressive when we found out it was made for $7000. It won some award at Sundance last year. I'm considering rewatching it again today, but I have paper to work on.
