I am sooo close to being done with my work for the term (and being half way done with my degree). I had a monster French test this morning which wasn't too bad, but took forever and was tiring. Denis brought over salads though and we had lunch together, so that helped a lot. Now I just have one more paper. And only four and a half more pages on this paper that is taking me forever. It's due tomorrow and then it will be all over if I can just finish four and a half more pages. This is 20-page paper number three and I am pretty drained at this point and have been sort of procrasting this week (which means only writing 3-5 pages a day instead of like 8 which is nearly impossible). When I finish the pages I still have time-consuming stuff to do like basic editing, footnotes, bibliography, pain-in-the-ass-have-to-convert-inches-to-feet-and-vice-versa-for-over-30-pictures illustration list, and of course illustrations. (My eternal thanks to Denis who got up at 6am this morning to do some scanning for me). But I can probably do that stuff tomorrow. Soooo close, why has paper decided to be so difficult. Ahh the writing process is never as efficient as you want it to be!!!!

When its all over I can sleep, and get a haircut, and Monday I'm going home to Maine for a week to spend time with my family which will hopefully involve sleep and shopping and maybe some kyacking (my parents just bought a double kyack). But first must finish this paper. I'm going to buy myself an overpriced $2 museum cookie if I finish another page, I've been reduced to self-bribery.

Yay! done with (prose portion of) paper!

And have plenty of time to work of footnotes, German translation of titles, etc.

Even spent well over an hour chatting with people who are also hanging around the library trying to finish up.

Yay!
