ug, I feel so gross. My body's saying "why just suffer through cramps, when you can also have headache, nauseau, and fatigue as well, bonus." Denis was kind enough to take time off from work to drive me into campus at noon instead of 8am (he only gets a paid 20 min. lunch break), but I still just want to go back to bed. I'm so tired.

I think we finally finished the taxes last night, we had to wait for some additional info from Dartmouth. We had the federal ones pretty much set (big refund, yay), but the state ones were a real pain because we're only part-year residents. Also, we owe MA money, but our state taxes are about 60% of our federal ones, way to high, coming from ME (and of course NH), and that's only for income we earned the second half of the year. I think we're going to get really screwed next year.

I have 4 hours of class this afternoon, the first one should be fine, but French always feels like forever (hopefully she'll bring food, that helps). Also, my fieldtrip to New York might be cancelled, either out of lack of interest, or professor illness, so now my weekend plans are in disarray. Blech. Hope you all are doing better.

blech indeed

Taxes and illness... what a combination! I hope you feel better soon.

Watching your little "sick" mood icon loop over and over again is a particularly effective method of getting into the right mood to empathize with you about how your body is feeling. ;-)

I also empathize with you on the taxes front. It's pretty straightforward when you've been in one state and have had one employer for all of the year, but if you deviate from that the filings can get rather annoying.

I haven't done my taxes yet, but I'm moderately concerned. On the upside, my state taxes wont go up or anything, because New York and New Jersey have a revenue sharing arrangement set up. But I still have to figure out how to parcel out my tax payments.
