I think I remember reading somewhere that the gut emits similar chemicals as the brain in terms of mood. This makes sense to me as my brain and gut are intimately connected: stressed? tired? frustrated? nausea is my body's answer to it all. So here we go. After a productive morning yesterday (ran, ate, did laundry while Denis acquired new donated bookcase, assembled bookcase, moved books and old bookcase to make space for new one, did dishes, took out trash, picked up in preparation for D&D) I developed a mild migraine that made me a bit nauseous and really out of it for the game. Today, my GI tract is taking revenge. As my gut is unhappy so is my brain mushy. I really wanted to get some work done, but cannot seem to focus on reading so I sorted all of our 2005 financial paperwork (this means mostly putting things in piles and throwing out envelopes) and have been answering easy emails (no I will not tell you what is on the exam on Friday, yes it will cover material from class *and* from the reading.) Sadly D. isn't feel so great either. Blech.

Hopefully will have more energy tomorrow.

yep, there are 6 of us and Denis is the DM. The rest of us are women so there's quite a bit of conversation and giggling (and one week a long break to make brownie sundaes) but he's very patient.

... That's like the inverse of most gaming groups. Cool!

How many of you are playing elves?

We have one half-elf druid, I'm a gnome rogue, then the rest are humans (a paladin, wizard, and ranger).

[livejournal.com profile] mrsjadephoenix says that Denis is collecting quite the D&D harem, making him the envy of male gamers everywhere...
