Is this romantic or creepy? It's more socially responsible than diamonds and more aesthetically pleasing than the vial of blood, but an awful lot of work. If cloaning becomes possible and widespread in the future it would be interesting. You would entrust your partner with not only a little part of yourself, but also your potential selves.

Huh. Weird. I have nothing against it, but I don't think it's for me, personally. Making things out of human bone does creep me out a bit, but seeing as these would have to be mutually consenting adults who are making things for their own use, it's fine.

Creepy.

And strange that you brought this up since I was discussing this with a friend of mine from high school who's getting engaged and shopping for the ring.
If you wonder, we settled on a cowboy-themed wedding on Easter Island with one of these human bone rings with a little black skull on it. We call it; "Wedding Shootout at Easter Island."

Hmm, I'm also torn between "creepy" and "romantic." Bit of both, perhaps?

Oh, another thought I had. From an objective standpoint, this should really be considered no creepier than making anything decorative out of, say, ivory. If anything, this should be considered a good deal less creepy than ivory, given that the organisms providing the bones to biojewellery aren't being poached for their teeth and actually want to have things made out of them. But yeah, I think it's pretty natural for most of us get squeamish when we consider making things out of our own body parts.
