It is the most idyllic day today. Sunny, 70s, slight breeze. We finally got around to some yardwork: raking, lawnmowing, hedge trimming (although it still looks bad, like when your 4 year old gives your 2 year old a haircut, we don't know what we're doing), compost-bin set up, etc. We set out our new deck furniture. It looks a little like an ikea print ad, but that's okay. Then I dozed in the lounge chair looking up at the blue sky and budding trees while D. chatted with the next door neighbor. That part of the afternoon was lovely. A huge home ownership perk. Now we just need a grill (and to fix the hottub, and add lighting, and a buy wheelbarrow to deal with the sand pile--where to put the sand?, etc. The list never ends). :)
