dance of the curling belly

Last weekend and this weekend are both filled with curling and bellydancing (thanks to cmshaw for the subject line).

Friday night nonemorecomic and R. came to visit! We had a great time with them. Sat. morning we got up early to curl in breakfast league. They did really well and had a good time. Sat. afternoon was nap time. Then we went to a lovely Wii party hosted by durdge and J. The party was also my bellydance solo dress rehearsal. I think it went really well. Everyone was so great helping me with costume, hair, and makeup and giving lots of support. (Thanks!) I feel much more confident for this weekend.

Sunday we went to Alexandria for delicious Bosnian/Croatian food at Cosmopolitan. We dropped nonemorecomic and R. off and went to pizza league. All in all a terrific weekend.

It is Women's Challenge! The theme is Las Vegas and it looks to be a lot of fun. I'm playing in the spiel and performing at 8pm on Saturday night. If you're local come on by (but come on time because my set isn't that long).
