Irritated

This morning Denis and I saw an interview with two women who are Harvard graduates and competitors in the Miss America pagent. One from Rhode Island and the other from some southern state, one of the Carolinas maybe? What made them even more irritating, besides that they're smart, and funny, and talented (I think one plays the piano and the other sings), and one of them lost 45 pounds, is that they actually have political causes and ambitions, for example Miss RI's cause is music education.
I think their purpose on the planet is to make other women feel bad about themselves.

I just found out that the father of the education person here worked on the original Star Trek series (as a producer I think); aparently he came up with the pointy ears and velor shirts. (I am particularly impressed by the pointy ears). He did the pilot and then left the series, but worked on other things like the Outer Limits. How strange, this almost rivals Brian Garton's father's Elvis connection.

(If you couldn't tell, I'm pretty much out of things to do until my boss gets out of an aquisitions meeting.)
