I had a very unexciting New Year's Eve. I was at the library, and then went grocery shopping, and then in an odd fit of domesticity decided to cook. So I made some yummy chili with corn cake toppers and then waited for Denis to finish with work. He wasn't done until 11:30 so when I went to pick him up we just stayed at the bar with the rest of the staff (it was nice to meet them, I'd only heard stories) and had some free drinks and watched the ball drop. I wasn't intending to go inside so I was all dressed up in my sweatpants, but everyone was nice and the drink was good and I got to kiss my baby at midnight and that's really all I wanted.
