I just got a call from Jackson informing me that the Red Sox have finally won the World Series!!!
I'm not a sports fan (I was asleep when he called, didn't even know game 4 was tonight), but I did grow up in New England. (Jackson's family is from Boston so you can imagine how his night is going.) Wow, I can hardly believe it! Didn't think it would happen in my lifetime (as Jackson put it, "our grandparents were born, lived, and died without ever seeing the sox win a world series.")
