The work continues! I thought it would be over right now, this was supposed to be the week I hung out in my pjs watching daytime tv and wrapping some Christmas presents, but no! Here's what I've done in the last week and a half: (and at least half of this time was spend with PMS, PMS + stress=feeling overwhelmed and crying at inopportune times)

-finished 3 20+ page papers, one with 45 illustrations (if I have to convert centimeters to inches one more time I'm going to loose it)
-made 1 visit to Dartmouth to see the Coming of Age in Ancient Greece exhibition which I worked on 2 years ago and which is utterly amazing
-filled out 5 online grad. school applications, realized I f***ed up majorly and missed the deadline for one school (which has been interpreted by various people as a sign from god/sign from me, since I misread the application date in early Nov., at least it was the school that was the worst fit for me; also see crying above; now down to 4 schools)
-mailed 18 Christmas cards (Denis helped write them out)
-written 1 personal statement, which was rewritten twice before a draft that I could show to others emerged, I'm still in the editing process
-purchased various amounts of Christmas presents, not wrapped yet
-begged recommendations off 3 professors and filled out 10 of those dumb rec. forms (still waiting to hear from one, mild panic ocurring since the first deadline is Dec. 28th)
-put up 1 Christmas tree with lights, ornaments might not happen this year
-visited the undergrad. library twice to convince them that I did return "the perfect heresy" so please take it off my record (they remain unconvinced and the book unlocated)
-graded 60 art history 101 exams (okay for 44 of them I only had to grade the first 45 min. essay, but still it's taking forever, that'll be finished today, then I just have to compute grades for the entire exam, we use pennys instead of math, and then final grades)

It doesn't sound as much as it feels, finishing the 3 papers was supposed to feel like a big accomplishment, but it just meant I could move on to grad. school application panic and exam grading. I'm waiting for it to be over. I promised Denis I'd take Sunday afternoon off so we could go to the movies (yay, Return of the King). Today I have to finish up all the 101 exams and grades, Saturday is back to personal-statement land, and I also need to edit my writing sample. Plus Christmas presents. I'm trying to figure out how late I can mail my application due on the 28th (a Sunday?), if you FedEx/UPS something and it arrives on a day no one is in the office, like a weekend, what happens to it? Do they leave it there or wait until Monday? Would it be considered late if it arrives on Monday? I hate hate hate mailing things at the last minute. Why aren't my applications sitting in their file cabinets already!!!

okay, my mood at the beginning of writing this post was "cheerful" I think I'm back to "stressed"
