I'm working on a paper that's very late (presentation due Monday, paper due to respondant Saturday, or maybe Sunday morning). After struggling with it for a week I've finally started to write and it's finally started to flow and then the stupid firealarm goes off. Arg! and the library is only open until 11pm (as opposed to 1am last year) Double Arg!

Went to Chicago Monday, stayed for 24 hours and got home 3am Tuesday night. It was a good (if tiring trip), I think the program and I would be a good match. I might cancel my planned trip to UPenn next week because I'm so behind on work. I have my third presentation the week after next and haven't done very much with it. Which I just about admitted to my prof. today when I started to freak out about not having ordered slides yet (there's not a lot in the collection and the classroom isn't set up for powerpoint), not too wise, but he wasn't as disapproving/disappointed as I expected (or felt myself). The next 5-8 weeks are going to be rough.

Oh, so one of the essayists that I'm quoting is named Thomas McEvilley. I just thought the name was cool, the real reason for this post.
