I had a great (if somewhat tiring) weekend! All day Friday and Saturday morning was the senior symposium where the second-years present their final papers. The papers were great and everyone did a good job presenting, but the thought that I had to get up there next year made me a little nervous. As a first-year I was tapped to pass around the microphone during the Q&A sessions so during all the breaks (and at work this morning) people kept saying how I did a good job with the microphone (like I could have screwed up passing the microphone to the person with their hand up?).

Saturday we drove up to Hanover and the rest of the weekend was wonderful. It was great to see Erin, Chris, and Andrew as well as all the Amarnites, I even got to see Jackson and Jenny L., and discovered that Jackson (maybe with friends), Mindy, and Lisa will all be in NYC next weekend for the party!

Graduation was fine, the speaker was good, Latch's valedictory speech was wonderful, and the weather was better than last year (around 70ish, partly cloudy). I slathered on sunscreen and was mostly successful in protecting myself, although I got an embarrassing cleavage-sunburn (which Denis didn't tell me about until the car ride home, thanks baby). We had an Amarna BBQ complete with volleyball, Chris manning the grill, and Erin's great 80s music mix (from her new ipod). So much nostalgia. Adam and Catherine even came by (I take it they're not around the house so much this year) they're moving to Boulder, CO.

Another 4-day week of work and then off to NYC. I hope Denis makes it, after working 12-hour days all week and then 7am-1:30pm Saturday he napped through graduation. He doesn't have any evenings off this week either until Friday. Maybe he can sleep in Sat. morning and I can head to a museum or two (or join everyone else in their activities). See (most of you) soon!
