Birthday Dinner
I think we may have found our favorite restaurant in DC. Denis took me out here and the food was excellent. We started with the proscuitto di parma (the figs were especially good) and Denis had the salumi. For dinner Denis had the garganelli and I had the roasted chicken. (Best chicken ever, Denis's was good too, the sausage had a yummy fennel flavor.) For dessert I had an apple crostada and Denis ordered the chocolate hazelnut torta (which was super rich.) I think they have their own pastry chef so the desserts were great. I wanted to try the scintillare limon but I had tea before I saw the dessert menu so it will have to wait until next time. It's a little pricy (what, spend more than chipotle burritos on dinner?) but it's definitely on our special occasion list.
