jade_phoenix made for me! Aren't they the cutest? Inspired by the generous music sampler that coffman sent me I actually bought some new music yesterday (for the first time in recent memory). I got the Low Millions album (previously known to me as teh group that sings that Eleanor song.) My initial feelings are mixed about the album (or what I listened to during my commute today). I also bought the two Joss Stone albums which I'm very pleased with.
Happy money news! I got a phonecall out of the view from the director of the Pitt language program. Aparantly they just received some leftover money they had to distribute so I received a retroactive FLAS grant (even though I've finished the program it was meant for.) They're sending me a check. I plan to save it for next summer.
TA training is okay, but not particularly useful. I'm still nervous about teaching, but having a good time socializing with the other grad. students. We went out for half-price burgers at the golf course tonight, burgers were $3.50, beers $1.50, can't argue with that.
