a little lonely
Denis left about 5:30 this morning for DC. It was lonely getting ready for work without him. I especially missed the car ride in to Williamstown. (I took the public bus, not my favorite, but fine, although it makes me either 45 minutes early or 15-20 minutes late. This morning I chose late.) Often I enjoy time by myself, but I always like to see Denis is the morning, in the late afternoon (usually I'd pick him up at 5 and drive him to work #2), and before bed. These checkpoints with him make the apartment home, and of course I've been spoiled with almost three weeks of vacation seeing him all the time. (Particularly spoiled since I've been with rested, happy Denis rather than overworked, moderately stressed Denis.) I'm glad he's interviewing in DC, and it seems silly to miss him since he's not even been gone 12 hours yet, but I do miss at least knowing that he's nearby.
Here's a link from
osirusbrisbane. It's pretty interesting. Denis and I are doing something similar although not with headshots. Each year we take a picture of the two of us on our anniversary which I am collecting in a small album to see our family develop through the years and to mark where we are and where we've been. So far I only have three: 2002 our wedding in Hanover, 2003 in Bay, Justin, and Dan's old apartment in New York, 2004 in the sunshine in Dubrovnik.
Work at the museum looks promising although I'm a little sleepy. I also just found out I have Monday off and that's pretty nifty too.

Not sure if I'm around Friday night, but if so, want to hang out?
